NCC RAILWAY CREEK PARK - 605 BANNOCKBURN RD., MADOC TOWNSHIP
The Nature Conservancy of Canada celebrated the opening of Railway Creek Park located on Bannockburn Road in
Madoc Township on September 27th.
Students from MTPS played an important role in Saturday's successful opening of Railway Creek in Bannockburn, after
visiting and learning about the property and the many wonderful creatures who call the surrounding wetlands home, the
students wrote, edited, practiced, and read a script about Railway Creek at Saturday's grand opening. It was eventually
produced into a short video.
It was a perfect day for the official trail opening at Railway Creek. MTPS families and staff were well represented at
Saturday's event, which included greetings from the Province, courtesy of local MPP Ric Bresee. Madoc Township
Deputy Mayor Larry Rollins commended Ms. Burr and her students for the video, and encouraged everyone to share the
link and spread the word Railway Creek.
