LOCAL TEACHER RETIRING/ RESTORATION PROJECTS
Madoc Lions along with the Municipality of Centre Hastings recognize
students from Centre Hastings Secondary School Renovation and
Restoration Program. Madoc Lions presented each student with a
Certificate of Appreciation for the projects they did in the community.
Teacher Brad Olsen was presented with a Certificate of Appreciation for his
10 years of running the program from Lion Tom Simpson who volunteered
with the program for 8 years.
Mayor Tom Deline was on hand to congratulate the students and thank
Brad Olsen for his years with the program. Unfortunately this will be the
last year for the program as Brad will be retiring. Over the 10 years many
projects have be done outside the class room by the students giving them
on hand experience.

National Headquarters
Poppy Funds help organizations that support Veterans!
Heroes Mending on the Fly Canada is dedicated to the
physical and emotional rehabilitation of ill and injured
Veterans and active military service personnel through fly-
fishing. The organization provides training and educational
activities to help ignite and rekindle participants' appreciation
for the outdoors and provides a safe space to connect with
other Veterans.
The Legion donated $25,000 to
support this rehabilitation
program—meaning no cost to
Veterans who attend the program
for the first time. Are you part of
an organization that provides
support for Veterans and/or their
families? You can apply for
funding through the Legion!
