Amateur is defined as someone who takes photos for pleasure and has not sold a photograph.

JUDGE’S CRITERIA

Composition – 50% balance, placement, colour. Impact & Style 25% – WOW factor. Lighting 15%. Presentation 10%.

Photos must be taken by exhibitor, printed on photographic paper, mounted on black Bristol board (size is indicated for each category)
and have entry tag attached to the top left-hand corner. Photo – No text, clip art or artwork allowed.

Digital images- Modification applied to the whole image is acceptable. No spot editing allowed except red eye removal.

Compositional changes to digital captures are not acceptable.
All Sets of 4 – 5x7’s to be Mounted on 16 x16 inch Black Bristol Board.
All Sets of 4 - 4x6’s to be mounted on a 14x14 inch Black Bristol Board.
All Single photos to be Mounted on Black Bristol Board with a 1-inch Border.
Photographer is responsible to get permission to enter photos of people and especially children.

For the following classes 1 photo no larger that 4 x 6 COLLECTIONS: 4 photos no larger than 4 x 6 to be
mounted on Black Bristol Board with 1-inch mounted on a 14 x 14 inch Black Bristol
