SPONSORED COUNTRY FAIR HOME CANNING CONTEST

Judged on taste, appearance, texture, recipe creativity and presentation. Must be sealed.
All first –place winners must sign a release form giving Bernardin permission to use, without payment, the winner’s name, recipe
and/or photograph in any other advertising or publicity. Winning Exhibitors in this section are to arrive at the baking section of the
exhibit building at 2:45 pm before doors close on Sunday, September 17th. Photographs will be taken at this time to be sent to the

1. Certo—Best Jam Contest Prize: $20 Gift certificate plus a Rosette Ribbon
Pint or smaller jar of Strawberry Jam, not freezer
Bernardin Pectin Package or UPC required as proof of purchase must be attached to each entry. Exhibit must use Bernardin Mason
Jar/Snap Lid

2. Bernardin Gift Pack Competition—Prize: $20 Gift Certificate plus Rosette Ribbon
Best Gift Pack submitted, using five (5) small Bernardin Mason Jars and Snap Lids, featuring assorted Home Canning. Exhibit
must include an itemized list of what is included in gift pack.
Judging based on creativity, quality of home canned products, including taste testing, attractiveness, perceived value and
appropriateness of presentation. NOTE: Gift packs need not be in baskets. Be creative.

3. Bernardin Snap Lid/Mason Jar Creative Craft Award Prize: $20 Gift Certificate plus Rosette Ribbon
Best craft created with Bernardin snap lids and /or rings. Itemized list of contents required with entry. Judged on originality,
attractiveness, and creativity

4. Bernardin Best in Show Home Canning Award Prize: $30 Gift Certificate plus Rosette Ribbon No entries required —
Judge’s choice from the above three contests (Class 62, Sections 1 to 3.)

NOTE: CREATIVE CRAFT NATIONAL CONTEST—All photos with accompanying description of items included in the gift
pack submitted to Bernardin will be automatically entered in a National Contest.
