TWEED GETTING A SKATE TRAIL

Tweed will soon have another way to enjoy the outdoors in
their municipality. There will soon be a skate trail around
the soccer field in town.
At the municipal council meeting councillors approved the
plan brought forward by staff. CAO Gloria Raebone tells
Quinte News that with another year of public heath
measures it is a way for people to stay active. The town had
built the trail last year as part of the Hydro One Energizing
Life Community Fund. The skate trail will not be staffed.
Raebone says if there are too many people on the ice to be
distanced then skaters should simply come back another
time.
