May 16th United Way announced the launch
of its MEGA 50/50 draw! Half of the winning
proceeds go to the lucky winner and the
other half will directly benefit the United
Way HPE fundraising campaign which
supports programs and services across HPE.
Tickets for the 50/50 draw are now available
for purchase online at
www.unitedwayhpe.ca/5050tickets.
Participants can choose from a range of
ticket options, with prices ranging from 50
for $20, 10 for $10 or 2 for $5. The draw will
take place on August 15 at 12PM, and the
winner will be announced on United Way
HPE’s website and social media channels.

On May 23rd, I joined Beck Somerville and Leah Emiry, among some
of today’s brightest, most-engaged youth leaders, learning about
Canada, its history, and its systems of government, as part of the
annual 4-H Canada Citizenship Congress.
As one of Canada’s leading positive youth development
organizations, 4-H Canada has been serving rural communities and
empowering youth to “Learn To Do By Doing” since 1913.
“The 4-H program is a pillar within our incredible agriculture and
agri-food industries promoting the strength and sustainability of
modern Canadian food production and has a legacy for developing
future leaders not just in agriculture, but in business and community.
Farmers produce the highest quality food to the highest standard of
sustainability and stewardship. Canadas Conservatives will reverse
Liberal cuts to 4-H Canada, axe Trudeau’s carbon tax and end his
attacks on our farmers who proudly feed us and the world.”

POSSIBILITIES
A few weeks ago we invited you to join us for an evening of
celebration. One of the reasons we did this was to have one final
happy event before we announced our sad news.
After being open for a decade, we have decided to close the store.
Of course we have mixed feelings about this, but we believe it's the
right thing to do.
Our last day open will be June 30th. We will have one month of
clearance sales. Come early so you get the best selections!
All of our Christmas inventory will be in store as well (Christmas in
June?)
Keep an eye out for more posts from us (probably emotional one's)
in the next few weeks.
