     The  Dare  to  Read  program  is  once  again  Madoc Public Library
     overwhelmed     by   this   very   generous    Ontario  Parks  Passes  are  a  part  of  our  Library!
     community.  A  big  thank  you  to  a  donation  of  Snag your Day Pass at the circulation desk - they
     $116.00    presented  by  community  member    are available for a 3 day loan. Don't forget about
     Janice Chrysler on behalf of the Healing Circle  our  outdoor  adventure  backpacks  waiting  to  be
     Gathering. These monies will go to good use in  your trusty sidekick in your next adventure.

     Marmora Public Library
     On June 12 at 5:30 pm, Paul Vella will be coming to the
     Marmora  &  Lake  Public  Library  to  speak  about  his
     journey from seeing the movie “E.T.” to becoming the
     head of production for a studio and share anecdotes
     about  working  with  stars  like  Ryan  Reynolds,  Kirstie
     Alley, Jason Alexander, Ed Asner and Shirley MacLean.
     He  will  also  explain  the  various  roles  in  the  “biz”
     including director, producer and executive producer.
     As  “Executive-In-Charge”,  Paul  was  accountable  for
     all   aspects   of   making   film   and   television
     programming, from development to release including
     over  $250M  in  production  of  programs  seen  by
     millions  of  people  around  the  world  and  winning
     many  EMMY  Awards.    The  best-known  programs
     were for American broadcasters like “CBS” and “ABC”
     and  included  mini-series  “ME  AND  MY  SHADOWS:
     LIFE  WITH  JUDY  GARLAND”  and  “SALEM  WITCH
     TRIALS”  which  combined  were  seen  by  over  40
     million  Americans  from  2000-2005  and  led  Paul  to
     walking the EMMY “red carpet” more than once!
