HOME CANNING CONTEST
The Exhibit Building is open on Thursday evening from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. and on Friday morning from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. for
entries to be brought in. Entries may be picked up on Sunday afternoon after 3:30 p.m. Doors will be closed at 3:00 p.m. on
Sunday to allow the committees to take down and sort the exhibits.
NOTE: No exhibits shall be taken down from display nor shall they be removed from the building or the grounds until after
3:30 p.m. Sunday. Doing so will result in disqualification of the exhibits and forfeiture of the prize money. (Strictly enforced.)
Jars, sealed with snap lids required. Pint-size jars preferred but not mandatory. No food colouring. Jars must be sealed for the
judge to open. Spoiled items will be disqualified.

SPONSORED COUNTRY FAIR HOME CANNING CONTEST
All first-and second-placed winning entries must sign a release form giving Bernardin and Certo the permission to use, without
payment, the winner's name, recipe and/or photograph in any other advertising or publicity. All winners in this section shall
arrive at the exhibit building at 2:45 p.m. on Sunday for photography and document signing. For Recipes and Tips, visit

These exhibits are Judged on taste, appearance, texture, recipe creativity, and presentation. Canned goods must be sealed.
Canned goods found to be spoiled will be disqualified.
The following entries must have Proof of Purchase (i.e. Sales Slip or Logo from Container) PLUS the Recipe attached to each

Best Gift Pack/Basket/Box submitted using five (5) small Bernardin Mason Jars and Snap Lids, featuring assorted
Home Canning. Exhibit must include an itemized list of what is included in the Gift Pack. Judging based on creativity,
quality of home canned products, including taste testing, attractiveness, perceived value and appropriateness of
presentation. Be creative.

NOTE: Creative Craft National Contest — All photos submitted to Bernardin with accompanying description of items included
in the Gift Pack (#2) will be automatically entered in a National Contest.
