Dr. Jim's Computer Repair TECH TALK
Jim Sanders
Welcome to Tech Talk. We are certainly having an interesting winter but weather is not my area of expertise. Let’s just say
I’m more of a Less Nessman, look out the window and that’s about it.
On to the technical side of things and issues plaguing to everyday computer user. Over the last month repairs have been
varied. DC jack repairs, screen replacements, liquid spills and tune-ups, data retrieval as well as compromised systems.
Increasingly I am finding more and more clients having issues with installing printers. As some may or may not know;
printers no longer come with a USB cable to plug into your computer.
Sometimes this is no problem but sometimes you want that physical connection. You may not have Wi-Fi or you may not
have the internet. It is always easier to setup a new printer with a USB cable, keep in mind CDs are a thing of the past and
you will need to download the software for your printer from the manufacturer. Seems the more technology advances the
more challenges it comes with. There will always be another way of doing things when it comes to computers, it’s just
figuring out what will and what will not work.
On that not, if you cannot sort it out you know where to come.
Until Next time.
