WHAT DOES MARMORA & LAKE PUBLIC LIBRARY OFFER?
We offer so much more than just books and free Wi-Fi. We have all sorts of fun programs and resources for adults, kids, and
families!
Adults:
·12 Month Reading Challenge: Read widely. Read something you wouldn’t normally read with our 12 month reading challenge.
Finish each genre/theme and submit your form to get a prize!
·Seed Library: Have a look at the seeds we have to offer through our website. Then plant your seeds and enjoy the fruits,
vegetables, or flowers that you have grown! When it’s time to harvest, save the seeds to donate back to library for Seed Library
2022.
·Get Serious About a Series! You've probably watched the show, but have you read the books? We have the books! And if by
chance you haven't seen the show, we have them on DVD too! Let us know which one you enjoyed more!
Children:
·Creative Kids Crafts: Each month there is a craft kit or activity put together for children of all ages. Some exciting news! Soon the
kits will be offered bi-weekly!
·Weekly Virtual Storytimes: Every Friday, Megan loves to sit down and read to you! She posts the videos on Facebook and saves
them to our website.
·Themed Book Bundles: We have themes and bundles put together; all you have to do is choose which one! They also come with a
family friendly movie!
Family:
·Virtual Book Sale: Due to the current stay at home order, we moved our BIG Book Sale online! The books have been put into
bundles and the pictures are posted on our website!
·Movie Bundles: We have put together a few different themed bundles for you to watch. And the best part…they come with a bag of
POPCORN!
·Ontario Park Passes: There’s no better way to spend the warm months in Ontario than exploring this beautiful province! You can
now borrow a day use park permit from us!
·CreativeBug.com: CreativeBug gives anyone with a library membership FREE access to thousands of art and craft video classes
taught by recognized design experts and artists!
·Board Games & Puzzles: Go from bored to board with our selection of fun games and puzzles you can borrow!

·Fun Contests! We have done some very fun contests together for you and your family! This June, watch out for our Dino-Mite
Dad! Father’s Day contest!

Online:
·Overdrive & Libby: Borrow and read free ebooks, audiobooks, and magazines from your library using your phone or tablet. It's
easy to get started―all you need is a library card!
·Ancestry Library Edition: Access Ancestry from home through your library with the temporary remote access link on our website.
Give us a call to get the password.
·How-To: We have put together (with more coming) instructions on how to use some of the online resources we offer.
