CLASS 67 - AMATEUR ONLY PHOTOGRAPHY

(Amateur is defined as someone who takes photos for pleasure and has not sold a photograph.)

The Exhibit Building is open on Thursday evening from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. and on Friday morning from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m.
for entries to be brought in. Entries may be picked up on Sunday afternoon after 3:30 p.m. Doors will be closed at 3:00
p.m. on Sunday to allow the committees to take down and sort the exhibits.
NOTE: No exhibits shall be taken down from display nor shall they be removed from the building or the grounds until
after 3:30 p.m. Sunday. Doing so will result in disqualification of the exhibits and forfeiture of the prize money. (Strictly
enforced.)
Judge's Criteria:
Composition - Balance, placement, colour 50%. Impact & Style (WOW! Factor) 25%.
Lighting 15%. Presentation 10%.
Photos must have been taken by the Exhibitor, printed on photographic paper, mounted on black Bristol board (size is
indicated for each category) and have the entry tag securely attached to the top left-hand corner. No text, clip art,
identifiable marks or art-work allowed.
Digital Images: Modification applied to the whole image is acceptable. No spot editing allowed, except red eye
removal. Compositional changes to digital captures are not acceptable.
All Sets of Four 5X7's to be mounted on 16" x 16" Black Bristol Board
All Sets of Four 4X6's to be mounted on 14" x 14" Black Bristol Board
All Single Photos to be mounted on Black Bristol Board with a 1" Border
The Photographer is responsible to obtain permission to enter photos of people, especially those of children.
For the following classes, one photo no larger than 4" x 6" mounted on black Bristol board with a one-inch border is
required.
