MADOC C.O.P.E.
On August 15, 2023, participants and staff made a trip to
O’Hara Mill Homestead and Conservation. In case you have
never been there, it is an old sawmill from back in the olden
days with a water mill and an old heritage place. They had no
electricity and they have an old school house, a house, a barn,
a stable, and water troughs for the hoses. They also have
walking trails and washrooms. It was a fun time going with
the staff and participants. The people that went there are
Catrina, Anita, Amanda, Kathleen, Ashley, Jade, Brook, Mike,
Jordan, Jaden, and myself (Matthew).
Fun fact: The O’Hara legacy began in 1789 when Patrick
O’Hara arrived from Ireland. They started the sawmill and
created a thriving homestead.

MADOC'S OUTDOOR ART FEST 2023: A CELEBRATION OF CREATIVITY, COMMUNITY, AND NEW BEGINNINGS"
A heartfelt thank you to all those who joined us at Madoc's Outdoor Art Fest on August 6th, 2023. We also extend our
gratitude to the Madoc Chamber of Commerce for their sponsorship and unwavering support. Additionally, our gratitude to
the awesome artists who lent their talents to this occasion.
A total of 14 artists and artisans participated, including a number of talented local youth who embarked on their first exhibit
experience, such as Cheill Cassidy-Williams and Ziva Jelenic, both captured here.
The Combination of seasoned exhibitors and novices was truly inspiring, and it was remarkable to observe how the
newcomers attentively studied the display setups, garnering insights to enhance their future exhibits.
With aspirations to build upon this success, we eagerly anticipate the prospect of hosting this event once again next year.
Our ambitions are set on expanding our roster of artists, engaging local vendors, securing additional sponsors, and
naturally, incorporating captivating entertainment into the festivities.
Warm wishes to all
