                                                SPRING IS IN THE AIR!

Spring is in the air! All the new growth that is starting is beautiful to see, including the ten new
members who joined the Chamber in the past couple of months. I am excited to personally meet
them all and support their businesses in one way or another. The Chamber also welcomed one new
board member, Danella Hesler of Back to Health. Welcome to our Chamber; we look forward to
                                 your fresh ideas!

This new year for the Chamber has brought many changes and new members. It was decided by the board of directors to look
for a new home within the downtown core. It is with great pleasure to announce that on April 1, 2021, the Madoc & District
Chamber of Commerce will be moving into their new location on St. Lawrence Street right next door to Hastings Cable.

This Chamber team really has accomplished so much in the first quarter, and I am consistently impressed with how talented and
hard-working they are. We are so excited with the transition into the downtown core and we are extremely happy that Susan
Hetherington is with us as our Administrator, she’s really hit the ground running.

During February we launched the News On 7 publication, and in March we implemented a new imitative for our members –
Member Referral Program. Starting April 1st, we will be launching our new Mentorship Program and After 5 Networking event
and preparing for our AGM in June. Now Spring for the chamber also means focusing on the Fall – specifically our new Fall
Event to be held in November – Business Excellence Awards for our Chamber members. It also means we are starting the
preparations for this year’s Santa Claus Parade on November 27, 2021.

Please visit us at the new location or an event, watch for a new professional development or business training to meet your
needs, as they are starting this month, two workshops and a business summit. And don’t forget—it doesn’t have to be an owner
or manager that engages with the Chamber. Send along your rising stars, and make sure all your team members are on our email
list. Just give us a call or email madocchamber@gmail.com to keep your organization in the loop on everything happening this
         spring!

I look forward to seeing you at our new home and events and just catching up. Best wishes for a Happy Passover and a Happy
         Easter.
         Shari
