Congratulations Ben Danford, you make us proud. We were expecting
something like this and planned ahead. We formed a committee and working
with the Danford family and around Ben’s busy schedule have planned a day
of celebration for Ben on Sat July 20 from 11:00 till 1:00. You can meet and
greet Ben at the skatepark in Madoc. Ben will be signing autographs and
chatting with his fans. DJ Jimmer Brownlee will provide music and sound on
the porch of the Arts Centre. If weather a factor we will be inside. We have
150 player cards for Ben to autograph. Peter Gooderham has been a big push
with a 30 ft banner that will be displayed in the park later today. Children’s
games are planned for the park that day as well. Ben’s gold medallion from his
Team Canada win last year as well as his plaque from Hockey Canada will be
on display. The committee formed by local people, Centre Hastings council

SOUTHERN GOSPEL CONCERT
Madoc Trinity is organizing a bus trip to the Metropolitan Bible Church in Ottawa on Sat Sept 14 for a great Southern
Gospel Concert by the Collingsworth Family and Triumphant Quartet. These are two of the fan favourite groups that tour
on a full time basis sharing their ministry. We will be traveling by coach thanks to 417 Busline leaving the Roxborough yard
on St Lawrence St W in Madoc at 1:15 and stopping for supper at the Mandarin Restaurant on Hunt Club Road before
arriving at the MET.
The concert continues from 6:00-9:00. We have a block of 50 tickets saved for us until August 15 and 50 seats saved for us
as well. After Aug 15 we will release our unused seats back to the Ministry for public sale. These excursions have proved to
be a lot of fun in the past and we ask you to join us for a fun afternoon and evening with some great singing. Cost is $ 55
for a ticket and $ 20 for the bus ride
