MIR GUL KHAN NASIR
                     Born on May 14, 1914 in Noshki, Mir Gul Khan Nasir was a prominent and liberal
      Poet of Balochistan. He was also a politician, a historian, and a journalist who strived for the rights of the Baloch
        people. He wrote poems in Balochi, Urdu, English, Brahui and Persian. He was awarded Sitara-e-Imtiaz for his
                                  literary services in 2001. He died on December 5, 1983.
       Also known as Malek o-Sho’arā Balochistan, Mir was a prominent politician, poet, historian, and journalist from
     Balochistan. His first collection of Balochi poetry was compiled in 1951 named ‘Gulbang’, which was the first ever
     collection of modern Balochi poetry. In 2001, he was awarded Sitara-i-Imtiaz by the Government of Pakistan for his
                                                   meritorious services.










































                                            SYED ZAHOOR SHAH HASHMI
         Born in Gwadar on April 21, 1926, Syed Zahoor Shah Hashmi was a famous poet, researcher, historian and a
      literary prodigy who dedicated his whole life for the Balochi language. His most famous work is Sayad Ganj which
        is the first Balochi dictionary. He contributed many poetries, research books, essays and novels to the Baloch
                                literature. He died on March 4. 1978 at the age of fifty-two.
