GAWADAR
Gwadar, renowned for the warm water
deep sea port, is found on the south-wes-
tern Arabian Sea shore in coastal area of
Balochistan. It is the capital of Gwadar
District. It additionally works as winter
capital for the province of Balochistan. The

due to China-Pakistan Economic Corridor

By Road
From Quetta it is possible to reach Gwadar via N-85. The total distance is 917.9 km, which takes
approximately 12 hours and 21 minutes to reach. The Makran Coastal Highway also connects Gwadar
to Karachi. The distance between Gwadar and Karachi is roughly 650km and the journey takes take
8-10 hours. It passes Pasni (120 km from Gwadar) and Ormara (275 km from Gwadar), which can
serve as possible stop overs, or tourist destinations in themselves.
By Air
There is one daily flight between Karachi and Gwadar, operated by Pakistan International Airways
(PIA). The duration of the flight is roughly 2 hours.
