Members of the Chicago Police Knights Baseball Club banded together with Chicago Police Women’s Soccer and the Bureau of Detectives at Irving Park Community to help pack and deliver groceries to more than 200 Chicago families in need.
A regular schedule of giving is the way to enact positive and lasting change, which is why the 3rd District partnered with the Apostolic Church of God and Chicago’s Food Bank to feed those in need every Tuesday in May.
Districts across the city have been organizing food donations, and the 16th District joined in the cause by partnering with local businesses and commu- nity organizations to hold a food drive on May 6 for residents in need.
