Police Officer Kathleen A. Doyle, Star #7600
On April 1, Officer Kathleen Doyle was working beat 433 when she monitored a call of a woman on the 106th Street bridge. The officer arrived on scene and bravely went out on the east side of the bridge to attempt to bring in the dis- traught woman, who was upset due to the recent loss of a child. Eventually, the woman’s husband was located and, after a while, the officer brought the victim in from the bridge. The victim was transported to the hospital for mental evaluation.
