Officers in 016 sleighed their way through Jefferson Park on a Santa wagon starting on Dec. 18 for their very own “Toy Story,” delivering gifts to people of all ages from children to seniors.
The department first stopped at Maryville Crisis Nursery to drop off presents to smiling children. The Santa wagon then moved on to deliv- er holiday cheer and gifts to kids at The Place for Children with Autism and City Kids, Inc. on Dec. 19. The officers also brought toys to Metropoli- tan Family Services and the Puerto Rican Cultural Center on Dec. 20. Last on the officers’ Santa wagon route was delivering red flowers to seniors throughout the town.
