LET’S PAINT
BACKGROUND
Load the oval wash with Media Matte Medium+Cobalt Teal Hue (1:1). Using a slip-slap motion, fill in the background behind the lettering, bottom left corner, and upper right corner. Load the dirty brush with Green Gold+Media Matte Medium (1:1). Slip- slap onto the top left, the flower area above the bicycle basket, and around the flower in the lower right corner. Work quickly, blending colors softly together. Use the mop, if needed.
STAMPING
Attach the cling stamp securely onto the acrylic handle. Us- ing the small specialty sponge, coat the clockwork stamp with Cobalt Turquoise Hue. Too much paint will blur the image and not enough will result in an incomplete image. After the stamp is coated, position stamp, press, and lift to imprint image where shown in photos. Reload the stamp as necessary. The stamped images can overlap; partial stamped images also work well for this design.
LEAVES
Thin Viridian Green Hue with water and load the liner to paint the vines and stems. Load the round with Green Gold and paint the leaves. Thin the paint to create light background leaves. These will not have any further color or detail; they will become background “filler” leaves. With the same dirty brush, pick up Viridian Green Hue and darken the base and bottom or right sides of the leaves. Pick up Titanium White with the dirty brush to highlight the tips and top edges. Clean the brush and load with Vermilion to darken the shaded areas and to add a hint of color.
