34 The Decorative Painter • ISSUE NO. 2, 2015
In February 2014, I began “Paint the Town Red”, a monthly painting party in Blanco, Texas. One of my students at the in- augural event, Ann Hall, gave me a photo that served as the inspiration for this rooster painting party project. In October
2014 Andrej Suskavcevic, CEO/President of the Craft and Hobby Association, asked me the famous question, “Do you think you could teach me to paint?” I responded, “Of course!” I taught him this project at an event at the 2014 CHA Mega Show, and he is now the proud owner of
 his first painting!
