BASECOATING
Apply the basecoat color using a large flat brush and a slip-slap motion. Dry, lightly sand and apply a second coat, lightly sanding again after it is dry.
To cure and harden the basecoat, place piece in the oven and bake at 150 degrees for 30 minutes. Turn the oven off and let cool down.
For primed tin, just make sure it is clean and dust-free and follow the above directions.
GLAZING
Apply a thin coat of DecoArt Traditions Extender & Blending Medium to the green area of the teapot. Mix Pine Green+Dioxazine Purple (2:1/2). Dress a large brush with Extender, sideload into the glaze color and apply the glaze starting at the top, sides and bottom as shown. The red areas are left as is.
Use a large soft mop brush to soften the color with a gentle slip-slap motion.
Dry well and apply a coat of DecoArt Traditions Glazing Medium on all areas of the teapot. Dry. Apply the pattern lightly with light graphite.
