PAINTING TIPS
■ When painting the scrolls, add Jo Sonja’s Gel Retarder to extend the drying time. This will allow you to re- stroke, as necessary.
■ When using the liner, add Jo Sonja’s Flow Medium to the paint for proper flow. If there is too little added, the paint will not adhere smoothly to the surface. If too much is added, it will spread on the surface.
■ When painting the flowers, add Jo Sonja’s Flow Medium to the paint as necessary, but make sure that you do not add too much or it will be watery and very transparent.
■ This design is painted in the transparent style of rose- maling rather than opaque. It is desirable to have some of the background visible in the center of the flowers. The paint should not be heavy and thick when applied.
