ROSES 1, 2 & 3 AND ROSEBUD 1
STEP 4 ACCENTS
Accents are transparently applied with thin paints and Liquin.
Yellow Tints: Cadmium Yellow Pale+Burnt Sienna (1:tch) Green Tints: Any greens from the palette
SHADOWS
Shadows are also transparent, so use Liquin to make your black transparent.
Shadows are applied to the core dark area and where the petals and leaves overlap.
I also applied this Black Mix+Liquin color to the edges of leaves and rose petals where I wanted them to recede to the background.
FINISHING
After the painting is completely dry, apply at least 10 coats of Grumbacher Final Varnish Matte with sanding between coats.
Design is 45% of original. Enlarge 222% for actual size.
