STEP 3: Refer to the photo of the finished project on page 78. Shade the outer edge of the bottom trumpet with Pur- ple Wave. Highlight the upper area of the trumpet with a small amount of Avocado.
STEP 4: Refer to the photo of the finished project on page 78. Shade the right edge of the upper morning glory with Avocado. Add a small amount of Purple Wave to the left edge, and at the bottom of the trumpet.
STEP 4: Connect the stems using the no. 10/0 liner with Hauser Dark Green.
LEAVES
Add shading to the heart-shaped leaves with a small amount of Dioxazine Purple.
DAISIES
STEP 1: Basecoat the centers using Moon Yellow on the no. 4 filbert.
STEP 2: Highlight the centers with a light float of White Wash on the top, and then shade them with a small amount of Honey Brown on the bottom. Using the no. 2 filbert with Snow White, bring the daisy petals to the yellow center. Us- ing the stylus, stipple Lamp Black and Snow White dots in a half circle around each yellow center. Connect the stems with Avocado and shade with Hauser Dark Green.
STEP 3: Using the Dagger stripper doubled-loaded into Avocado and Yellow Green pull the leaves.
STEP 1: Basecoat all leaves with Pineapple.
STEP 2: Apply Avocado to the medium-value areas of the leaves.
STEP 3: Shade the leaves with Hauser Dark Green and highlight with White Wash.
STEP 4: Using a no. 10/0 liner, apply veins to the leaves in Hauser Dark Green or Lamp Black based on your prefer- ence. Highlight randomly with White Wash.
STEP 5: Using the no. 6 filbert apply a light coat of Celery Green over the existing Pineapple. Highlight with White Wash. Shade with Dioxazine Purple. Because these roses are light in color, the leaves should be light as well.
MORNING GLORIES FLOWERS
STEP 1: Usingtheno.4filbertwithMoonYellow,basecoat the trumpets of both flowers.
STEP 2: Using the no. 4 filbert with Purple Wave, pull the petals outward from the center. To achieve a deeper purple, add a bit of Dioxazine Purple to the outer edge of the trumpet, layering the two purple colors until you are satisfied. Gently blend the colors, working from the outer edge of the blossom toward the yellow center. Al-
