LET’S PAINT FLOWER POT

Basecoat with a mix of Asphaltum+Titanium White
(1:1). Let dry and paint again with Asphaltum and allow to
dry. Slip-slap on the Plaid FolkArt Crackle Medium. When
Flowers and some of the berries: Lemonade
Flower centers: Hauser Green Medium
Walnuts: Butter Pecan
Almonds: Butter Pecan+Titanium White (1:1).
Stick stems: Asphaltum+Titanium White (1:1)
Leaves: Hauser Green Light, Medium, or Dark. See Step-by-Step on page 54.
Ribbon dark areas: Burgundy. Let dry, then paint all of the ribbon Hot Pink. Go over the dark areas also.
Two apples: Fresh Foliage. Make sure you follow the apple shape.
One apple and some berries: Hot Pink
Pine needles: Use a liner and a mix of Hauser Green Medium+Wrought Iron to pull strokes toward the tips of the stem.
sticky to the touch, slip-slap on a mix of Butter Pecan+ STEP 3
Titanium White (1:1). Allow to dry. Spray pot only with Krylon Matte Finishing Spray. Cover design with newspa- per with the pot shape cut out to mask off the main design.
CRACKLE TIPS
n Make sure the paint and crackle medium are the same brand.
n Slip-slapthepaintontotheshapetobecrackled.Donot stroke on.
n Be careful to not let the crackle medium dry. Now you are ready to underpaint the design.
n Underpaint the design with Titanium White. Make sure the shapes are smooth and opaque. Let dry.
