LET’S PAINT
STEP ONE
Using a 1" glaze wash brush with Lamp (Ebony) Black, basecoat all of the wood surfaces. Let dry and lightly sand. Ap- ply a second layer of Lamp (Ebony) Black. Smooth the paint by lightly sanding again.
STEP TWO
Using a 1⁄2" glaze wash brush with White Wash, basecoat the flowers (see Step 2 of the Step-by-Step on page 15). Apply two layers of White Wash, sanding between each layer.
Transfer the pattern onto the design using black transfer pa- per. Using tack glue, paste the cutout wood design onto MDF board base and let it dry well.
STEP THREE
Using a no. 10/0 majestic round brush with Lamp (Ebony) Black, apply the paint around the design, being careful not to stain the flowers.
Apply Grey Sky in the interior of the yellow flower as your basecoat and use a mixture of Grey Sky+White Wash (1:2) for the border lines of the petals using no. 3 round brush.
STEP FOUR
FUCHSIA FLOWER: Use Royal Fuchsia to basecoat the interior of the flower. Using the no. 3 and no. 8 majestic round with Royal Fuchsia+Petal Pink (1:2) paint the outer edge of the petals.
Apply two layers of color in a rotating manner using a no. 8 round brush and let it dry.
