LILY OF THE VALLEY: #2 brush
1. With Titanium White, paint two strokes very close together for each Lily of the Valley. Or just paint in the circles. Ridges in the paint are good.
2. Add three dots with the stick end of a thin brush underneath each circle.
THREE STROKE PODS: #2 brush
1. Paint the center stroke Titanium White.
2. Paint one Titanium White stroke on each side, curving toward the center.
3. Add three Titanium White dots at the end of each pod. Add an Alizarin Crimson dot where the base meets the stem after the stems are completed.
BERRIES: #2 round, #6/0 liner brushes
1. Fill in each berry with Rose Red Mix.
2. Add a wash of Alizarin Crimson to each one. Also add an Alizarin Crimson stroke for the throat of each one opposite the stem with the 6/0 brush.
LILY OF THE VALLEY
3. Add a Titanium White dot in the throat with a stylus and an Alizarin Crimson dot to the base after the stems are painted.
STEMS AND LEAVES: #6/0, #4, #2 brushes
BERRIES
THREE STROKE PODS
1. Connect each of the flowers you have already painted with stems using a brush mix of Pine Green and Medium Green thinned with a little water so it will flow on your #6/0 liner. Start at the flower and pull the stem to the base. For the hanging flowers, connect the longest stem first. The other stems will go up and over the first stem.
2. Double load Pine Green and Medium Green on the #4 brush and paint the S-stroke leaves from tip to base.
3. Then paint the other branch of leaves using the #2 brush and the same double load.
4. When the leaves are dry, using the #6/0 liner, add an overstroke highlight on one side with Green Highlight Mix.
5. Outline a thin line of Carbon Black on the side opposite the highlight.
6. Highlight each stem with a very thin line of Green Highlight Mix using the #6/0 liner.
7. On the opposite side of each stem, paint a very thin line of Carbon Black.
