Priscilla Hauser mda is called the “First Lady of Decorative Painting” and with good reason. Inspired by Priscilla’s efforts and dreams, as well as her ability to draw people together, 21 people joined her for the first meeting of the National Society of Tole & Decorative Painters on October 22, 1972. The organization has grown and thrived, and so has Priscilla! She began painting in the early 1960’s, after taking Tole painting classes at the YMCA in Raytown, MO. Since then, she established Priscilla’s Little Red Tole House Studio in 1968, in Tulsa, OK and has become a world renowned teacher, author and the decorative painting community’s ambassador to the world, besides teaching classes and workshops. Later, Priscilla opened
her beloved “Studio by the Sea” in the Florida panhandle where students from all over the world came to learn to paint and teach! This was accomplished only with the incredible support of her “soul mate,” Jerry, and their four children.
