 COLORED PENCIL
  COLORED PENCIL TIPS
n In the beginning stages of a colored pencil project it is essential to use very light pres- sure, which will result in very light cover- age. This initial color foundation is not meant to fill in the pores of the paper or give an opaque coverage. Keeping the first layer light will allow you to pencil in multi- ple color layers, thus creating a rich design with just the right amount of depth.
n The best method for obtaining well-blend- ed colors without hard lines is to adjust the pressure applied to the pencil. As you place colors next to one another, use just a breath of pressure. This will allow you to transition from one area to the next with- out hard lines.
