CANDLE AND GLASS VOTIVE CUP

GLASS VOTIVE CUP
STEP1: UseMediumGreytolightlyapplythedarkareasthroughouttheglass. STEP2: UseLyraWhitetoapplythelightareas.
STEP 3: If needed, use Medium Grey again to darken the shaded areas on top of the first application.
STEP4: UsePrismacolorWhitetoapplythesharpshines.
STEP 5: Use Gold Ochre, Dark Carmine, and Aquamarine to apply accents. Apply them lightly because they are strong, vibrant pigments; you can always add more.
MATCHSTICK
STEP1: UseGoldOchretobasethewood.
STEP2: UseVanDyckBrowntoshadetheedgesstrokingintotheGoldOchre. STEP3: UseLyraWhitetoapplythelightvaluedownthecenterofthestick. STEP4: UsePrismacolorWhitetoapplythesharpshine.
STEP5: UseacircularmotionandDarkCarminetobasethematchhead. STEP6: UseMediumGreytoshadethematchheadontheupperleftside. STEP7: UseLyraWhitetohighlight.
STEP8: UseatouchofPrismacolorWhiteforashineonthematchhead.
SHADOW
STEP 1: Use the length of the color core and Silver Grey Warm in a back-and-forth motion to apply the shadow areas.
STEP 2: Use Medium Grey Warm to darken the shadow under the cup, along the left side, above the table line, and under the match.
STEP 3: Use Lyra White to apply the light value to the right of the match, under the cup, and on the back of the table line.
STEP 4: Use Dark Carmine to accent the shadow on the back wall behind the cup, and just a bit to the right of the match head.
FINISHING
Spray with several coats of Krylon Workable Fixatif. Spray from each side: top, bot- tom, left, and right. Allow five minutes to dry between coats. Suede board should be framed under glass.
