CHAPTER DONATES TO
THE PORCH LIGHT
A PROGRAM MEETING THE NEEDS FOR CHILD VICTIMS
Citrus Ridge Decorative Artists of Florida
Citrus Ridge Decorative Artists (CRDA) made a donation of $350 to The Porch Light, a program run by the Florida Baptist Children’s Home in Lakeland, Fla., to help meet the need for safe homes for child victims of domestic sex trafficking. The Porch Light provides shelter, unconditional love, and a safe place to begin a new life. In addition to providing care to victims, The Porch Light also focuses on sex trafficking prevention and advocacy efforts. These efforts include educating the public about protecting their children, knowing the
signs, and detecting behaviors that may indicate that a child needs help. More information about this organization can be found at theporchlight.org. In the photo from left is right are Vicki Alley, Pam Fuller from The Porch Light, Barbara Fowler, and Suzi Mills.
FANTASY OF TREES
Members of the Tennessee Rocky Top Decorative Painters chapter decorated this gorgeous tree for the Fantasy of Trees charity event in November. The trees are displayed at the Knoxville Convention Center, with wide media coverage and thousands of visitors. Proceeds from Fantasy of Trees benefit East Tennessee Children’s Hospital, Knoxville’s only nonprofit Comprehensive Regional Pediatric Center.
There are more than 350 beautifully designed trees, holiday accessories, front porch scenes, door designs, table centerpieces, and more. The chapter’s tree, decorated with a gingerbread cookie theme, sold for $450. What a great way to help the community, children, and promote decorative painting!
