Using a no. 4 flat brush loaded with Bleached Sand, check the edges of the base. Line a simple vine with Burnt Umber. Tap on some little leaves using Avocado and Foli- age Green. Tap on Burgundy Wine berries using a stylus.
SMALL BASE
Check the edges using a no. 2 flat brush and Burlap. Shade the edges of the top of this layer using an oval wash brush and Burlap.
FENCE
The fence is done with a wood grain finish. Feel free to change it if you wish. Using a wide flat brush sideload in Burlap and add the wood graining. Keep your brush on the chisel when you are creating long grain lines. Deepen with Pebble and Burnt Umber. Highlight the grain with Warm White. This grain is sampled on your line drawing. Try to go for it without transferring the pattern though. It is just a hint of grain.

Lisbeth Stull has been painting since early childhood. Trying a variety of mediums and styles she felt like Goldilocks looking for her “just right” fit! Lisbeth found tole and decorative acrylic painting in 1990 when she
began taking a class with her mother at a local shop. She had always admired strokework and rosemaling designs and knew she was where she needed to be after the first class. Through the years she has taken classes
from a variety of teachers, from local classes to large conventions and seminars, and has challenged herself to attempt many methods. Lisbeth has taught classes close to home, travel-taught, and at several large conventions.
In January 2012, Lisbeth launched her website selling her own designs to paint (www.lisbethstull.com) under the business name Cottage Caboodle. She enjoys the process of designing and feels honored to share that with all of you!
