DESIGNATED AREAS BEST PRACTICES



      OVERSTOCK




                 MAKE A FRESH START
                 Ensure the PIP is clear of ALL ITEMS AND SUPPLIES THAT ARE NOT CLOTHING




                         APPAREL & DESTINATION
                         • These departments must be organized by COMMODITY in the PIP and/or designated wall space.




                         LEGGINGS, HOSIERY, QUEUE LINE PRODUCT
                         • Organize and store this product using sales floor storage cabinets.



                         WATERFALL TOPS
                         • Waterfall all tops by size, colour and style [retek] to maximize on space.
                         • Use plastic extenders [PIP strips] for grey and white hangers.




                         SALE
                         • Keep sale in a seperate but accessible area. Set up on the PIP or in a designated wall space.
                         • Merchandise this section the same as it is on the sales floor [i.e. by commodity]



                         MARKDOWNS
                         • Process markdowns on overstock items.


                         As time permits, merchandise should be steamed prior to placing on the sales floor




                                                         DON’T use PIP’s for supplies, hardware, marketing, etc.
