At TCC Design Build we have built our company around one

mission: To create places where people feel fully alive…
places where people thrive because they feel connected to
the people and places around them… places that foster a

sense of wonder and curiosity for the world we live in.

We believe the physical environments we occupy play a

vital role in our overall wellbeing and have the potential to
serve our basic human need to feel that we belong and

are a part of something bigger than ourselves. We exist to
create places that connect people with each other and the
natural environment because we believe that when people

feel connected to life, they thrive.

We approach every design as an opportunity to foster
routine and genuine connections to life through the

built environment. This is the story of how we did this
at 65 Aerie Drive.

65 Aerie Drive was born from a singular idea; what if we
started the design process with a quality outdoor space at
the center and built the home around it? In this way we

transformed the home’s relationship with the natural
environment by inviting nature into the heart of the home.

After we brought this central outdoor space to life with

flowing water and vegetation, we split the home in half based
on use; private functions on one side, public on the other.

We oriented each half to the two distinct mountain ranges
that create the panoramic mountain views from the site.
We then connected the home with a transparent bridge that

floats over the central outdoor space and a cave like tunnel
that hides beneath it. Lastly, we added many details throughout

the home that reinforce its connection to the landscape.
