now, his sights are set on his second high school state tournament, which he competes in this summer.
Bargfrede said one of the most valuable lessons he’s learned from his coaches is to keep working. He also learned a lot from his family, especially his grandparents who helped raise him on their farm.
“All the things that I’ve learned from my grandparents over the years has definitely made me have more of a work ethic than I would have if I didn’t grow up in an environment like that,” Bargfrede said. “And it’s definitely helped me grow as a person. If I wasn’t raised like that, I definitely wouldn’t have set my goals as high as they are today.”
Bargfrede purchased a boat last year, which allowed him to compete in more tournaments.
