than their regular starting time. This notification does not excuse the tardiness but simply notifies the supervisor that a schedule change may be necessary.
Employees who must leave work before the end of their scheduled shift must notify a supervisor immediately.
Tardiness and early departures are each one-half an occurrence for discipline under this policy:
 The day shift starts at 7:00 AM. If you are 15 minutes or more late and have not called in, the following disciplinary steps will be taken within 7 days.
o 1st offense within 7 days - If you are 15 minutes late and do not call, you will receive a documented verbal warning
o 2nd offense in 7 days - If you are 15 minutes late and do not call, you will lose $2 per run for the week.
o 3rd tardy in one week without call - If you are 15 minutes late and do not call, you will receive a 7-day suspension
You are to report tardiness and absences to the dispatcher and the supervisor.
Disciplinary Action
Excessive absenteeism is defined as two or more occurrences of unexcused absence in 30 days and will result in disciplinary action. Eight occurrences of unexcused absence in 12 months are considered grounds for termination.
Job Abandonment
Any employee who fails to report to work for three days or more without notifying his or her supervisor will be considered to have abandoned the job and voluntarily terminated the employment relationship.
