            PREFACE



                This  Professional  Document  covers  the  implementation  of  'e-MDP  -  An  Online

            Training  Solution  For  OFB  Officers'  introduced  by  National  Academy  of  Defence
            Production (NADP).  The document details the situation before the introduction of e-

            MDP,  motivation/necessity  behind  the  designing  and  implementation  of  the  new
            system, challenges faced by NADP. It also draws a pen picture about its characteristics,
            i.e., technological feasibility, financial viability and ease of use (usability) and also how
            the new System is sustainable and replicable in all organisations.



                Professional documentation of this good governance practice in NADP, a Central
            Training  Institute  recognised  by  DOP&T,  has  been  prepared  under  the  scheme  of

            Financial Assistance for Professional Documentation of 'Good governance Initiatives' of
            the  Department  Of  Administrative  Reforms  And  Public  Grievances,  Ministry  Of
            Personnel, Public Grievances & Pensions, Government Of India. The objective of the
            Scheme is to provide financial assistance to support professional documentation and

            dissemination of good governance initiatives by the various State/UT governments
            with a view to sharing experience with each other and replicate elsewhere.



                This document is designed for simplicity and written in a storyboard style for easy
            understanding of all the steps taken by NADP in the implementation of the new training
            system.  We  have  tried  our  best  to  narrate  the  facts  behind  the  successful
            implementation  of  the  new  model  in  a  simple  manner.  The  idea  is  to  make  this

            innovative  approach  easy  to  understand  for  others  with  the  objective  that  the
            document will serve the purpose of replication of the model in other organisations.
