All the Sammy Stories are based on life at the
NORTHCOTE HEAVY HORSE CENTRE
in “deepest Lincolnshire”.

The centre is a registered charity caring for horses with
special needs.
It is open to visitors during the year and full details are

The centre is funded by donations and all the helpers are
voluntary.

They have a Card and Gift catalogue at Christmas time
to help raise funds to pay for the care costs of these
lovely animals.

There is also a ‘Friends’ scheme where supporters can
donate monthly.

Illustrations:
Readers are to understand that although all the characters
in this true story book are real animals and people, the
illustrations are purely caricatures and not intended to
represent any actual person.
