HIGH COMMISSIONER FOR CANADA
Dinan had another “Special” Day in 1986 when we had the job of escorting
and guarding the Canadian High Commissioner around the town of Spilsby,
Lincolnshire, UK, when he came to help commerate the two hundredth
anniversary of the birth of Sir John Franklin who was born in the town.
The High Commissioner was the Hon. Roy McMurtry. With him in the rear of
the carriage was Mr Roy Cooke-Barnes the Mayor of Spilsby.
