               HIGH JINKS AT FOSDYKE
               THE LAST BOAT GOES TO DUNDEE….

               Back to Lincolnshire,  it is still 1969,  inflation had not yet
            become a daily issue and petrol was still four gallons for £1.


               A decent average wage was £20 a week, very few people
            demanded every possible labour saving gadget in their home
            and television was still restricted to two channels.
               Several months had passed with zero sales of Firestone to
            any Fossitt and Thorne depot and Fred, my immediate boss at
            Firestone Lincoln District Office had once again been given
