Q: Can I take one of my breaks at the end of my shift?
A: No. The regulations require that working time must be "interrupted" by your
breaks. In effect, this means that you must resume work after any breaks have
been taken.
Note: if "other work" consists of driving under UK drivers' hours rules, then additional
break requirements may apply.
29.14 FTL Reminder
Drivers are to have their Digital Tachograph driving card with them whilst on duty
and are to always use card when driving any vehicle fitted with a Digital
Tachograph.
Driver to ensure that the correct mode is selected and used at all times.
Ensure that details are downloaded by office staff on a regular basis and to note
any infringements. Repeated infringements may lead to disciplinary action being
taken.
Ensure download is done when prompted by Andy Bolton. There is equipment to do
so with office staff in unit C3 or downstairs in unit C4.
Driver to report any Tachograph faults to the office staff immediately.
CONTINENTAL BASED DRIVERS - If driver is remaining on the continent when
his/her Tachograph card is in need of being downloaded, it is his/her responsibility
to do so. Please seek advice from Andy Bolton if unsure how to do so.
