Sorrento Cup 3rd April 2021 Intentions to Enter requested
The CYAA have been invited by the Sorrento Sailing Couta Boat Club to
participate in their festival to celebrate the re-activation of the 1892 Sorrento
Cup. Your CYAA has accepted the invite and has listed the Sorrento Cup as a
CYAA event. The SSCBC will be presenting a special Classic Yacht trophy to
celebrate the event. Further details about the festival can be found here. To
those Classic Yacht skippers who intend to enter contact the handicapper. The
voyage there and back can be done under a time trial basis. Participation in
the CYAA Heritage Division give’s your boat the opportunity to be listed with
the gun boats of Port Phillip, Cooeeana and the SJS. To highlight the CYAA
fleet participation in the Festival the CYAA have offered to give skippering and
crewing opportunities to junior members of the SSCBC. The course being
considered for the race is out to the Pope’s Eye and back..
For SSCBC heads up reasons let the handicapper know of your intentions to
enter the Sorrento Cup festival. SSCBC Swing mooring or Blairgowie Marina
tie ups can be arranged.
