ALT,  ALP,  and  GGT  (liver  function  indicator:  the  lower  the

           better)  were  significantly  lower  in  the  fermented  NONI

           groups.












































           Alcohol  ingestion  induced  a  significant  increase  in  Total


           Cholesterol levels in the serum and liver of human being. In

           the same research, it was concluded that Fermented NONI


           significantly decreased the Total Cholesterol to the desirable

           levels comparable to the Control Group. In addition, alcohol


           intake led to a decrease in HDL-C (good cholesterol) content

           and  an  increase  in  LDL-C  (bad  cholesterol)  content  in  the


           serum. Fermented noni also proved to alleviate these harmful

           effects.
