The beauty and splendor of Red Rock Canyon was again captured by the artists’ photographs entered in the 2012
Red Rock Canyon Annual Photo Contest.

“Awesome!” “Beautiful!” “How did they get those shots?” “Are they for sale?” “Wow!” “Wonderful eye!” These are
a few comments made by visitors while the committee was accepting entrants’ photos and placing them on display in
the Gallery area of the Visitor Center. Please visit the Gallery because you have to see these photographs – all 103 of

them. They will be on display through August 9.

Judging was done by members of the Las Vegas Camera Club and they did not have an easy job. This year, we added
“Ranger’s Choice” recognition. Those selections were made by a Bureau of Land Management Ranger; not an easy
task either. Here are the winning entries:
