For some, the next part
of the hike will be the
hardest. Be very careful
with your footing. The
trail descends rapidly and
the footing is difficult at
times. You have to let your
boots dig in. Following
the trail down, it eventu-
ally levels out and you
meet another of those old
roads. You'll pass near the
firehouse that was built
several years ago. This
wide trail leads to
Moenkopi Road.

At Moenkopi Road, just
turn left and follow the
road back to the parking
area. This is a relaxing
area to visit. There aren't
a lot of tourists on the trail
and you can take your
time completing it while
enjoying the view.
