B. CONTENT BODY - - The length of your graduate paper depends upon your degree level.
1. Length:
a) Master’s Thesis: Word Count: 7,500 minimum 25,500 maximum
b) Doctoral Dissertation: Word Count: 10,500 minimum 60,000 maximum
Estimations: A typical page which has 1-inch margins all sides and is typed in Times
New Roman 12-point font with standard spacing elements will be approximately - -
▪ 300 words when typed @ 1.5 spacing
▪ 250 words when typed @ double spacing
2. Numbering: Pages to be numbered in bottom footer – middle of pages
3. Faces: Single sided printing only - - double sided not accepted.
4. Font type/size = Times New Roman, Verdana or Georgia - sized at 12 points ONLY.
5. Spacing:
a) Sentence - - 1.5 spaces – no exceptions
b) Separate Quotations - -
i. Single Spacing (no exceptions)
ii. Blocked, ½ inch indentation from left of main body
c) Paragraph - - With Indentation = 1.5 spaced:
Without Indentation = Double Space
6. Quotations/Citations:
a) Non-Bible Quotes & References - - In-line quoted statements must be numbered (in
super script) with corresponding footnotes on bottom of each page.
Example: TEXT - - Science has estimated that there are more stars in the universe than
sand on the beaches of earth. 1

b) Non-Bible General References - - Both general and specific references to studies,
surveys, theories, etc., must be numbered (in super script) immediately after the referred
comment with corresponding footnotes on bottom of each page.
Example: TEXT - - Studies have shown that the majority of American Citizens have some

belief in a Supreme Deity.

c) Bible Quotes - - Whether quoted “inline” or used in “block quotes”, Scripture verses or
passages quoted in your work must end with reference to Book/Chapter/Verses either in
parentheses or in underlined italics. The main Bible translation being used need not be
identified due to being named in the introduction.
Example: We find Abraham’s obedience to God almost beyond human ability, as in the
“
time when God told Abraham to sacrifice his only son, Isaac - - And he said, Take now
thy son, thine only son Isaac, whom thou lovest, and get thee into the land of Moriah; and
