II. Mandatory Ministry Study Consultant
Due to the objectives and nature of the Ordination Preparation Study Course, all students enrolled in
this program must accept and work with the Ministry Study Consultant (similar to an LSC).
A. Course Exam Reviews: Regardless of the score/grade of any/all Course Exams, a Review
Conferences is required for every Course Exam that has a score/grade of less than 100%.
1. Failure or refusal to participate in ANY Course Exam Review Conference shall result in the
Course Exam being graded “Incomplete” - - regardless of the exam’s actual score/grade.
2. The “I” (Incomplete) shall remain on the student’s record until the successful completion of the
Review Conference pertaining to that Course Exam.
3. No further Course Exams will be accepted for grading until the Course Exam Review
Conference has been completed for the Course Exam at issue.
B. Consequences: A student’s failure/refusal to participate in a Review Conference for a period of 30
calendar days after the scheduled Course Exam Review, shall have the same effect as non-
submission of course work for sixty (60) calendar days.
1. Students not completing the Course Exam Review Conference for the exam at issue, for an
additional thirty (30) more calendar days shall have the effect of the “90 Day Rule” being
implemented.
a) Student shall be classified as “Suspended Status” which shall result in the “Student
Termination Policies” to be in effect and all requirements of these policies must then be met
by the student for reinstatement.
III. Course Exams
A. Grading: All course exams must score a minimum of 70% correct answers for a passing grade.
Failure to score a minimum of 70% correct answers on a course exam shall result in a “Failed
Exam”.
B. Exam Failure: Students who fail a course exam shall be given one attempt to recover from the
failure with a retake exam for “Failure Recovery”.
1. Failure Recovery: The Exam Re-take shall be delivered to the student after the Course Exam
Review Conference.
a) Deadline - - Retake Exams must be completed and returned to the Exam Grading
Department within 10 calendar days.
b) Passage - - Achieving a minimum of 70% correct answers on the Exam Re-take shall
result in the grade of the second exam being the “grade of record” for that
course.
c) Failure - - Failing the Exam Re-take shall result in the student failing the entire Christian
Ministry Associates Degree Program and his/her student status shall be
terminated.
IV. Tuition Concerns As with Regular Students of THBI, tuition does not purchase the degree or
certification being studied for. Tuition pays for the materials necessary for study and examinations
by the enrolled student.
