Dr. Timothy Hoflund is a Co-Founding Minister of True Hope Ministries of
America and has been selected to fulfill the role of Chancellor for True Hope Bible
Institute as well.
In 1976, Timothy was a new convert working in the repair shops & train yard of a railroad.
Soon after being born-again began to realize God called him into ministry service and
leadership yet was unable to attend a “campus college” to gain Biblical education.

Thank God there was another way available! Timothy was introduced to and took
advantage of the opportunities of distance learning and local church sponsored
classes, seminars and courses through the local association of churches he was affiliated
with! Later in years, as the technology developed and became available, he utilized opportunities over the internet
for gaining greater Bible education.

Since the late 1980’s Dr. Timothy Hoflund has been in committed ministry service and has worked in a
number of churches of various denominations as well as having founded and led several home Bible
fellowships (now called house churches). He led an Evangelistic Association in the early 1990’s and in
2002 founded a House Church and some years later was elected to serve for a season as the General
Secretary of the Fellowship in which he and the House Church were members.

As the ministry developed into True Hope Ministries of America (Read: The Ministry Behind the School),
a key element of the ministry vision for was to establish a quality, Bible focused, affordable college level
Bible teaching institution. This became reality when the ministers and members of True Hope elected to
establish the True Hope Bible Institute in the summer of 2009.

Charleston South Carolina. By the will and direction of God, Pastor Jim joined
with Dr. Timothy as Co-Founder of True Hope Ministries of America!

Brother Jim’s service in ministry leadership is comprehensive and from his
experiences in a broad variety of leadership positions, he offers the Ministry
Leader a wealth of understanding from which they are encouraged to draw!

During the time of re-forming the prior ministry to establish what is now True
Hope Ministries of America, it was upon Brother Jim that the Lord impressed
what the THMA mission to ministers is to be: “Helping One Another To Do What
God Has Called Each of Us to Do!”
As a bi-vocational Ministry Leader for most of his years, Brother Jim has anything but an “ivory tower”
perspective of life as a child of God! When he counsels or advises you about a life concern, especially
those that seem to generate conflict in or because of being in ministry service, Jim shares Biblical Truth
that he has not only “seen” but has personally lived in the reality of such Truth at work in his own life!
The same holds true about church and ministry issues. Jim does not preach (or teach) some new thing that
comes along and is all the buzz - - he preaches (teaches) only that which is an established practice in his
own life and thereby able to impart into your life the greatly needed understanding “to make it work” for you!
