The Live Study Consultant (LSC) is similar to an academic advisor in that the LSC advises students in areas
such as the services and policies of THBI and offers guidance in elective course selections for our students
to meet all the requirements to graduate.

The LSC approves and offers initial assistance to Master’s and Doctorate Degree students in the preparation
of his/her thesis or dissertation.
The LSC is different than an academic advisor in that the LSC provides special, focused follow-up
instruction when reviewing the course exams with the student.
➢ Using each Course Exam as a further teaching tool, the Live Study Consultants serve to review the
incorrect answers on each exam with the student in order to help the student learn not only what the
correct answers are but the reasons for the correct answers in order to help the student gain a better
understanding about the subjects included in the Course Exams.

The LSC services are included in the tuition and as such, the student is expected to utilize the services of
his or her Live Study Consultant, in fact, a student’s success often depends upon how well that student
utilizes the services of his/her Study Consultant!

➢ Note: A student may “opt out” of the LSC services. To “opt out” requires the student signing a
waiver of services form. Opting out of the LSC services will not suspend the LSC making certain
assignments - - however the student will lose the advantages and benefits of participating in the LSC
services.
Each LSC Consultant has a Bible College degree, graduating at either the Master’s or Doctorate level.

Meet the leader of the Student Course Consultants Dr.
Michael Cochran!
Dr. Michael Cochran, Teaching Ministries Director of True Hope Ministries
of America.

Dr. Michael is a Doctor of Theology having graduated in May 2013 - - and
was the first student to enroll in the (what was at that time new) THBI Multi-
Level Doctoral Degree Program!

Upon graduation, Dr. Michael chose to become a candidate for Ministry
Credentials of Ordination with THMA, which he was granted soon thereafter!

Dr. Michael also pioneered the THBI Live Study Consultant Service and
continues to serve our students with the same diligence and enthusiasm as when he helped develop this all-
important service!

Live Study Consultants (LSC) are assigned to each student enrolled in THBI and while the general services
of the LSC are not mandatory, certain “assignment services” performed by the LSC are mandatory for the
student.
The student who chooses to avail him/herself of the LSC general services will have certain advantages over
students who opt-out of the LSC service. The greatest advantage is the increased opportunity for learning
through the Course Exam Reviews conducted with the student by his/her LSC.
